What a Long Week!

Emily

Wow, this week was a long one! It all started last Friday when Emily was sent home from daycare with a rash. We went to the Dr. and they said it was just a random rash or maybe a virus. That night it was clear we had a stomach bug going on in both girls. Friday through Monday we changed so many diapers and clothes it was ridiculous, but luckily it finally tapered off. The girls were also the crabbiest I've ever seen them..EVER! That unfortunately lasted until just this past Friday. I even took Emily back to the Dr because the way she was screaming I thought she must be in pain...maybe an ear infection or something. Ears, throat, & tummy were all good. Finally by Saturday my happy babies were back! This weekend was a breeze compared to the last weekend. The girls still aren't really eating solids like they had been a few weeks ago. Not sure if they are board or if this is just left over from the stomach bug.

Both girls are still doing new things every day. Emily can now stand on her own a lot more than she had been. We had been working on some PT exercises and they seem to finally be working. Working so well that I watched Emily crawl up one, two, then three stairs. Last I checked she didn't know how to lift her leg. Now she's an expert. So scary! Ellery doesn't even know how to do this yet. Looks like it's time for the stair baby gate! Ellery is also doing new things...like eating dog food. I caught her today with a piece of dry dog food in her mouth. She looked like she was enjoying it.

Heather-Glad to hear that things are back to "normal" at your house. Maybe you should also consider putting a "gate" around Chloe's dog dish!! Then again, who says a little dog food ever hurt anyone? Right?Staci, Stewart and Maya

Oh my. That sounds like Rotavirus. I am glad they are better. They are so cute and getting so big.
