Three days after I proclaimed our house healthy and back to normal, the coughs and sniffles moved in. The girls have still been happy and playing but today I really noticed Emily feeling under the weather. I'm a little concerned that the three letter virus we detest the most has returned. Don't want to jinx it...but it's looking that way. So far still only mild, but we'll see how tomorrow goes and whether we end up at the Dr's office. Hopefully I'm being a neurotic germaphobe mom.
In other news, the girls have been on a hunger strike against all pureed foods. So, we've started letting them eat a variety of table foods. It's going ok. Many things they aren't too sure of and most of the time whatever we give them triggers the gag reflex which is always a treat! But, they are showing lots of interest in what everyone else is eating so we figured it was time. Tonight the girls tried spaghetti and although they had just a few bites, they seemed to enjoy it.
Oh and I just discovered today that Ellery has a tooth coming through! Both girls gums have looked different the last few weeks and then for some reason I checked Ellery today - no i wasn't fishing dog food out of her mouth thank goodness - and I felt something that I hadn't noticed before. I can't get a good look because this girls' tongue is huge and she won't let me. I'll keep trying though! I was beginning to think I may have toothless children. Phew!

Heather,
So sorry to hear that the girls haven't felt well lately. Hopefully the girls just have a cold and not the nasty 3 letter word! Take good care of everyone and yourself-spring like weather should arrive soon, right?
