Memorial Weekend in Seaside!

As promised here are the pictures from our first trip this year to Seaside. We all had a blast with the exception of Ellery who was quite grumpy. As long as she was in her wagon or on a walk she seemed to be in a better mood. It was also Andy's 30Th birthday so we celebrated a little in Seaside but he also had a big party the weekend before. Andy called it his birthday week. ;)

Going on a walk...."mom are you coming?"

We started out on the beach blanket to get used to our surroundings. The girls loved watching cousin Maya play.

Emily decided to jump right in and play in the sand. Later she tried to crawl away...more than once. She loved the sand and all the people and dogs! We saw a Pomeranian that was shaved with a big mane and cousin Maya exclaimed "it's a lion!".

Ellery was NOT a fan of the sand. Surprising because she likes to play in it at school, but I don't think she liked her feet touching it. Instead she used daddy as a cushion so she could soak up some rays.

Finally after a bit Ellery decided to play in the sand. She wasn't officially won over as a fan, but she did decide to give it a taste. Yuck!


Later we went for a walk and it was super windy. Ellery got to be bundled up with more than enough blankets. Yummm carmel corn. Not sure where Emily was but we must have felt that it was more important to make sure the carmel corn was secured safely in the seat than a baby. Bad parents!
