The girls had a stomach bug ALL weekend, so I can't say I had the best weekend, but it was pretty good. Poor little girls have had their diapers changed more this weekend than the whole month total and I think they've had more baths too...just kidding. I think we're finally coming to the end of this but it was a brutal weekend for everyone. Fortunately they loved pedialite so that was a relief. They've never had anything other than bm, formula, and a little milk and water so I wasn't sure if they'd even like this apple flavored stuff. Silly me...they loved it. I think if I'm not careful they'd boycott formula for this stuff.
I also finally got to use the cloth diaper sampler pack I ordered almost 8 months ago. No, not switching to these. Once I spent the $99 and got the 10 newest types of cloth diapers I immediately started to have visions of poopy diapers x2. So I packed it all back up and stuck it in the closet. Fast forward to now. Since the girls are busting through diapers with their current stomach issue I decided to start layering the cloth diapers or whisper pant (those plastic pants that we used to wear when we were babies over our cloth diapers). The only problem is everything is size small but it still seems to work. Ellery has been wearing the whisper pant over her super absorbent night time diaper to contain everything. Emily has been wearing the bum genius AIO, bumkins, and bummies diapers and covers. I was annoyed that I wasted that $99 but now I feel like i put them to good use! ;)
The girls had a cold before this bug so I'm really hoping that was the end of the cold and flu season sicknesses. They were supposed to get their last RSV shot this week but the 7th injection has been canceled because the CDC has reported a lower outbreak number. So yahoo, for not putting the girls though the pain of a shot. Boo hiss for that fact that my insurance out of pocket was finally met and this shot would have been 100% paid for. Oh darn!
We're preparing for spring and the nice weather around here. I actually just booked our first family trip for the end of the year so we’re all now dreaming of warmer climates. The girls got their first pair of sunglasses and boy do they scream diva. So stinking cute! Now I just need to figure out how to keep them on. We also spent time playing indoors and outdoors with the bubbles. Boy, do the girls love their bubbles. The gymboree bubbles are amazing! They don't make a mess and they stick to everything. I guess that could be annoying but its funny to see the girls with bubbles stuck to their hair and clothes. Since the weather was decent this weekend we enjoyed good walk at Gabriel Park and the girls got to take the maiden voyage in their new red wagon.
Emily testing out the wagon before the wheels were attached.

Emily says "This is more like it" although I don't know if she was impressed initially.

Heather,I never thought that I would use the "rubber pants" over Maya's overnight diapers either-but they work great! I was so tired of every morning waking to find her pj's and sheets wet. Maya just got the same wagon last week and LOVES it. It is so funny to see her kicking back in it. She loves taking her water bottle and snacks on rides. Don't you love it? We love the fact that the seats have seatbelts and that there are backs on the seats. I hope you guys are done with being sick! Hopefully we can get together soon.staci
