Andy and I think our girls are going to have an aversion to saran wrap once they are older. In the NICU Emily & Ellery are wrapped in a thick plastic blanket with a layer of saran wrap over the top of the warming bed. Don't worry...it's no where near their faces so they can't suffocate...that was my first question. They do this so that the babies can retain moisture. Being that they are under lights and kept in a warming bed all day long until they can build the fat necessary to retain heat - any moisture gets absorbed very quickly. The saran helps keep things from getting dried out. Emily doesn't like it but she tolerates it. Ellery on the other hand absolutely hates the saran. She will wiggle and move her arms and legs until she's uncovered and then she'll constantly try to stick her hands and feet through the top saran layer. Last night she was very annoyed and Andy caught it on the camera.

You go, Ellery!!! Fight the power. Don't be held down by the Man... or in your case, the saran!!
