Summer Fun!

Emily and her #1 side kick.....the graham cracker
Ditto for Ellery....we love Costco boxes of grahams

Relaxing in their new pillow corner.

Ellery sitting on her new hippo. Poor guy didn't stand a chance.

Emily showing her alligator who's boss.

Ellery demonstrating her new favorite thing in the pillow corner. I can sit like this.....

....and then throw my body back like this!
Mom knew we were playing in the drawer but she didn't know we were really IN the drawer. Move over Tupperware!
Wow, it's been two weeks since I've blogged. Sorry about that. I just haven't had the time nor have I wanted to sit down and post. We've been doing a lot of summer activities and I started reading again. During nap times I find myself reading mindless books rather than cleaning...but oh well. It kind of feels like a mini vacation away from my responsibilities at least for the time being. Before I started reading Twilight over the winter break (only took one week of that break to make it through all of them) I had only read a handful of baby related books. Not my normal self. Feels good to get back into it again.

The girls are still in swim class and they still seem to enjoy it. They are in class with their friends Avery & Sawyer so that is a lot of fun for everyone.

We're making up for the year of what seemed like house bound activities and have been taking the girls to all kinds of events. We saw the Lipizzaner Stallions, went to a baseball game, saw the Wiggles today (can't wait to go again!) as well as lots of parties and BBQ's. The girls even took their first trip to Costco! It's nice to get out of the house, but boy is it a lot of work. I always get very anxious but for the most part every time the outing has been a success.

Everyday the girls are surprising us with how smart and hilarious they are. They are both walking up a storm and starting to say more words like "ball", "book", "uh-oh". They are such little hams and think everything is funny (except when throwing a tantrum, then they are super angry). Their smiles are contagious. Here's an example of our typical day. Ellery is being...well Ellery. Emily was laughing the entire time and Ellery was growling. No babies were injured in the production of this film. ;-)
