After a few cancellations due to weather we finally made it in this week for the girls second RSV shot. Luckily it's just a quick appointment with one quick shot - but they also weigh the girls. Ellery weighs 17 pounds exactly and Emily weighs 14 pounds 15 ounces.
I had previously reported that these shots were expensive and that I had awesome insurance that was paying for it. We'll I was wrong in two accounts - the first is that for 6 injections for both girls the cost is $30,000 (EEK!) and the second is that my insurance coveres all but 20%. Now I should be happy that they cover 80% but that is still a lot more than I expected to have to pay. But, our alternative is not to get the injections and increase the risk of hospitalization for the girls....no thanks...don't want to be responsible for that! Two shots down four more to go! :)

So glad those darn shots are over!! We had to have them for the first two seasons! Yuck!! I hope the girls only have to go for this year. Hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas together. Let's get together soon! :)
